Where to donate your household goods, furniture and long life food items when moving out: A thread
When moving out of your student homes, you'll almost certainly come across things you no longer need. From food and cutlery to unused toiletries, there's plenty of places you can put these unneeded items and the bin isn't one of them.
For tinned goods and long life food, we have a drop-off point on the ground floor of your Students' Union as a part of the Feed the NHS campaign. Cardiff Foodbank also have numerous drop-off points in supermarkets and local areas, and you can find more information on their page.
For cutlery, kitchen items, furniture and clothing; charities such as The Huggard, Boomerang Cardiff, The Wallich and Women's Aid Cardiff are all accepting donations.
Your team of Elected Officers will continue to share their tips & tricks for moving out of student homes over on their social media channels - stay tuned!
