I'm seeing all of those EPL bullshit fans trying to push the idea that EPL is better than Laliga. Well I disagree! Here's a thread
The only reason why the notion that La Ligais the best league on earth is even an argument is because of the English language. British and American fans like what feels familiar to them, and they pour their money into the English Premier League resulting in the most profitable TV
(Continuation) contracts in the world. This results in a TV production product that is second to none, and huge transfer fees by even middling clubs year after year after year.
Meanwhile, La Liga dominates European competition. And when I say dominates, I donât just mean Real Madrid, Barca, and Atleti. I do not just mean the titles. I mean they dominate every stage of the competition.
Letâs break down the numbers for the two biggest competitions in Europe, the Champions League and the Europa League (weâll ignore Super Cups even though La Liga dominates that too). Since the beginning of 2010, La Liga has won the Europa League six times.
But here is where it even gets interesting. Seven different Laliga teams have won Europa knockout ties in that time, and combined record in knockout stages of the league is 53-21. 8 of those losses where against Laliga sides, and their record against English sides is 5-2.
Notions that Laliga is a three team league ignores facts like Villarreal having been in those knockout stages for six different years. Few outside spain know anything about Villarreal as a yet they have experienced an era of substained quality not matched by anyone
(continuation) outside their top six since 2010
. In the UCL, the dominance grows. Keeping in mind that the UCL has one fewer KO rounds than the UEL, here's what numbers look like: 51-21 overall KO record, six of those looses were to "fellow" laliga sides

(Continuation) and against English side 51-21overall KO record and against English sides they were 12-2. Four different teams have won KO ties
Overall 10 laliga teams have won European KO ties since January 2010.(One of those being Malaga) who aren't even in the competition at the moment and as good as Villarreal has been, they've spent a year in the segunda themselves.
Not counting ties that put laliga against laliga, they are 90-28. Overall, they're 104-42 and 17-4 againsttheir biggest competitor for best league in the world.
It's staggering the fact that so many Spanish teams can progress in Europe but not survive the dogfight that is laliga says a lot about the quality of the league, from top to bottom!
At this point, some may argue that I'm only focusing on KO ties. They'll point to things like this past season'sgroup stage, where Tottenham earned four more points against Real Madrid, Chelsea took four points against Atlectico and Liverpool drew with Sevilla.
That's certainly true. But I'm not arguing that the English premier league is bad, in fact, it's excellent. But when the chips are down, when it's"win here to keep the trophy dream alive" Laliga owns them.
Understand that Sevilla won three straight Europa leagues while never finishing higher than fifth place in laliga.Down the stretch in laliga, Getafe, Eibar, and Girona all pushed the andalusian club and they weren't even the best in their city. This shows how tough the league is.
A quick rundown of the EPL and Laliga tables shows shows how competitive they are. Barca and Man City most atimes run away with the leagues, putting huge gaps between them and the second placed team.
Second to sixth in each league "was" approximately the same; it was a 19point gap in laliga,18 in Epl.There's strength in depth in both. And even in recent times what can we see?Liverpool is clear at the top with 25points which clearly proves how the competitiveness has diminished
If you've read this thread this far and you still think the EPL is better than Laliga, tell me, honestly: how many laliga games have you watched in the last five years? It's an incredible league. It's far more than two or three deep. It's the best league in the world!
