A short thread for those following India's strategic ecosystem -

India has a wide range of mainstream defence correspondents, with decent understanding of military affairs.

On many contentious issues they don't agree and hence different views are available to choose from.

These differing views are important in a democracy where all sides need to be given a voice.

But, on the China standoff, all mainstream defence correspondents have been consistent on two basic facts.

1. The PLA came inside Indian territory at Galwan, Gogra and Pangong Tso

And, 2. The PLA unleashed brutal violence and have breached the LAC

These two facts were consistently reported before the clash on Monday night.

There were attempts by some to negate both the above points, with forceful assertion. And perhaps partial success.

So, point to consider for the future - when all your mainstream Defence Correspondents report on similar lines, there is possibly some truth to it.
