against People of Colour e.g. the Bantu Building Workers Act, 27 of 1951 - it was a criminal offence for a Black person to perform any skilled work in urban areas except in those designated for Black occupation. OR the Bantu Education Act, 47 of 1953 - authored by Dr Verwoerd

who stated the aim was to prevent Africans receiving an education that would lead them to aspire to positions they wouldn't be allowed to hold in society. If you still don't get that BEE is not discrimination but is REDRESS, you probably won't. BUT don't stress our Constitution

still gives ALL South Africans the right to EQUALITY by providing everyone (including you) with a formal basis of Equal Treatment. Now despite that right, not all people are born to equal circumstances. Our history resulted in both economic and opportunity disparities based on

RACE for Black People (incl. Black, Indian, Coloured citizens). BEE, which by the way has only been around for 16 years and NOT 40+ years, is there to bridge the gap between FORMAL equality and SUBSTANTIVE equality to ensure that ALL South Africans fully enjoy the right to

equality. If you still don't get it, like I said, have a ceremony with your ancestors on the matter - they might be able to assist you.
