The House is resuming its joint hearing on ABS-CBN's franchise issues today. @rapplerdotcom
ABS-CBN's executives and lawyers are once again present during today's hearing. Also present is former senator Juan Ponce Enrile, whom the committees invited as he had executed the 1972 sequestration of ABS-CBN back when he was the chief implementer of Martial Law under Marcos.
Hearing is resumed. The joint committee encountered internet connection problems in the past minutes, but this has been fixed.

Agbayani: Wala naman hong sequestration order laban sa mga Lopezes at sa ABS-CBN.
Barzaga: Yun bang equipment na yun ay under sequestration?

Agbayani: Opo.
The joint hearing is temporarily suspended.
House will continue deliberating whether or not Lopezes lost ownership of ABS-CBN when the Marcos government sequestered the network in 1972 during Martial Law.
Almeda Lopez: Ang ABS-cBN nag-o-operate ng radio television since 1953. In 1972, nag-declare ng Martial Law. Sinira ang aming istasyon at for 14 years, pinalakad ng mga Marcos.
Almeda Lopez: Nung nagkaroon ng EDSA Revolution, hindi naman sa pagbuhat ng sarili kong bangko, alam nyo kinuha sa amin ng mga Marcos ang ABS-CBN. Sasabihin ko sa inyo na hindi sinauli sa amin.
Almeda Lopez: Hindi sinauli sa amin ng Marcos ang istasyon.Nakuha namin sa aming sariling sikap, kasama of course, yung forces ni Enrile at ni Ramos. Pero ako hindi ko naiisip Yung mga conseuqneces ng pago-o-operate namin because we went on the air right way in about 1, 2 hours.
