yeah if ppl can pay and aren’t that’s bad, but in order to have 80% coverage, people to need to have access to masks both at home and anytime they enter a public place (which is a shitload of masks) — regardless of whether or not they can ‘afford’ the mask

look at the price of disposable masks locally, and then consider in an ideal situation people would be using multiple disposable masks in a day… that can be hundreds or thousands of dollars over months, and certainly not 80% of people are gonna be able to afford that
