This Paulino Najera Rivera, an indigenous member of the Terraba Tribe.
He sent me this video to explain what is happening to indigenous communities. When they ask for their rightful land they can be incarcerated, or even killed.
Pls take the time to understand what’s happening.

PART 2) And a HUGE thank you to @andy_better for the translation.
I will summarise his message below.
This is a story playing out in many parts of the world. Up to 85% of their land, or the 9,350 hectares, belongs to people who aren’t indigenous now. When they tried to protect their home, they were imprisoned. In 1990 the ILO was signed to protect indigenous territories, BUT
it was an empty commitment which did little to help.
What we need to do is ensure this ILO is strengthened, enforced & adopted by many more countries. You can do this here https://www.survivalinternational.org/law .
Paulino has sent me more videos, which I will share at a later date.

We are not ‘protecting’ indigenous land, they are wholly capable of surviving and thriving. But what we must do is stop the encroachment & exploitation, because no human, or non-human animal should be displaced from their home... obviously.
