Despite the quite clear reported benefit and the high number of patients, I cannot be very excited about this trial result....at least not yet.

a) we have not seen full data / peer reviewed publication yet - any potential confounders? 2/x
b) I will be very interested to see how the research team has accounted for the fact that treatments were started at different time points in the course of infection 3/x
C) how do the treatment arms compare in the presence of evidence of hyperinflammation? 4/x
Nevertheless, cudos to the investigators for a pragmatic, quick and large randomised trial, much needed in the current climate of academia - looking forward to look into the full paper 5/x
