3/4 Systemic barriers to higher education for people of color mean that, as a percent of population, Hispanic and Black women still lag in educational attainment (with 17% and 27% respectively, having a bachelor’s or higher) as compared to White women with 39% @texaswomensfdn
4/4 Over 1.9 million adult Texas women live without the financial shield of health insurance coverage. One in four Latinx women and one in seven Black women are uninsured in Texas. #txlege @texaswomensfdn
In TX, women of color, especially Black women, experience the highest rates of housing cost burden. As women of color are the majority in TX, their housing instability and lack of economic security puts the state’s overall financial well-being
