As a classically trained 'alim, community leader, and chaplain, I condemn the figure Daniel Haqiqatjou's online shaming of a Muslim sister because she put up a picture of herself. No man who claims to be a man would act as such.
By tweeting, Daniel would know that others would be directed to the same picture at which he objects, for the mere purpose of demeaning and bullying the sister and the institution to which she graduated from.
Once upon a time, Daniel wrote articles on biases that take root in communities whilst living in a liberal society. Those days are long gone. When a man who claims to be a man, decides to use his platform to attack a Muslim woman for no reason, Muslim leaders cannot stay silent.
Regardless of one's opinions on any mukhtalif feeh issue, if your only method of engagement is steamrolling others, May Allah take you to account for the harm you cause. Thirdly, may the du'a of the oppressed against the oppressor be accepted.
So by mercy from Allah, you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. [3:159]
O Allah, show us the truth as truth, and give us the ability to abide by it. And show us falsehood as falsehood, and give us the ability to desist from it.

Lastly, I would advise our sincere brothers and sisters to not engage with Mr. Haqiqatjou nor his affiliates. Bara'ah is most fitting for those who care not to keep our community healthy. Don't learn from nor trust any Muslim figure who has no community to learn from.
I look forward to blocking and/or muting your whatabouttery which minimizes the point at hand.
Please don’t make fun of or insult Daniel Haqiqatjou and his affiliates via memes and what not. Don’t stoop to the same level. Be better.

I want to iterate that I have no financial affiliations to any organization that Daniel has attacked. I am a local community worker with no financial stake in any major/minor Muslim organization.
My teachers wouldn’t hold it to be impermissible at least—hence it being mukhtalif feeh. But if I used my platform as a means to not respect her, they’d probably throw me out of the madrasa and tell me to apologize to her. Let’s stay clear of shell-game answers.
