I do not have the most followers

Nor the best tweets

But I do have some tricks up my sleeve that helped with my Twitter growth

I will spill the beans in this thread:
Basics #1 - Engage

You can write the best tweets, but if you don't have an audience, you will not grow

This is a no brainer

You need to engage. You need to follow, reply, and RT with comment on larger accounts within your niche

Be insightful, not an ass kisser
Basics #2 - Niche

For personal brands, talk about what you are knowledgable in - you are your own niche

Don't put yourself in too narrow of a box.

For niche accounts (I.E. teaching web design), talk about web design and complementary skills

Good for perceived authority
Basics #3 - Be interesting

You don't need to be a multimillionaire or travel the world to be interesting

You just have to do something in life worth talking about (AKA, what the average person doesn't do)

Your twitter feed is a reflection of your life experiences
Basics #4 - Following

Stop following and expecting a follow back. I will not explain this further. Stop.

Follow accounts similar to what you post and engage with their tweets consistently

They will follow you

Plus, following/unfollowing people multiple times warrants a block
Basics #4 - Tweeting

Don't get caught up in the numbers. There are many factors that help with growth aside from tweeting

10+ times/day isn't the answer, nor is 5-7, or a billion

I've tweeted 3x/day and gained hundreds of followers

I've also tweeted 15+ times and gained a few
If you are itching to start growing account - you can

I recently joined TGC to see what it is all about

I was pretty surprised by what I saw

Think of it as a roadmap to getting your first couple thousand followers

Then, a community to grow even further
I've read many Twitter guides - they are good

But TGC has the structure to hold you accountable for months on end

You don't just buy it and forget about it, it gets you results (followers + money)

Now, lets talk about advanced tips

You can try and grow all day long, but if you don't have a community of like minded people - you will have a hard time succeeding

Hence why TGC was created

But, lets talk about what ive done
Advanced #1 - Niche Networking

I have a web design product

I reached out to big accounts with my target audience (developers) and got to know them

Some wanted to affiliate for my product - this alone helped me grow by hundreds every time they promoted
Advanced #2 - Engagement groups

Make friends, create a DM group, and RT each others tweets

Don't just send tweets every day

Create a schedule and stick to it

Otherwise the group will slowly die off
Advanced #3 - Mastermind groups

You only know what you know

High level knowledge is hard to come by online

You need to find people that are FAR ahead of you and make friends

Don't be intimidated by them, they are human

Ask a few if they want to create a group
If you sell something online... a product or service

You need to have mentors.. or people you can mastermind with

If you don't, your progress will seem extremely slow

Don't be that guy that wants to "figure it out for himself"

This is a good trait, but not in business
Now, circling back

If you are an absolute beginner - here is my number 1 tip

Stop procrastinating and just start writing tweets

Nobody is going to care if your tweets suck

Start writing and refine your growth process as you go

You don't need all of the answers to start.
