We’re supporting #StopAdultAbuseWeek a local initiative helping people look out for the most vulnerable members of our communities. We urge you to look out for people in your area, and familiarise yourself with signs of abuse and concern.
This is especially important during the global health crisis, which has had a significant impact on vulnerable adults.
We’re working with partners across Bath, North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset and South Gloucestershire to share advice and guidance on different types of adult abuse, and the support services available to help.
If you or someone you know wants to raise a safeguarding concern please contact our Care Connect team on 01934 888 801
Each day of #StopAdultAbuseWeek looks at a different theme and today is about scams.

Unfortunately, even during a global pandemic, there will always be people looking to scam others. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
A common scam at the moment is offering a coronavirus test in return for a fee – the NHS test and trace service will NEVER ask you to pay for a coronavirus test. Testing is free.
Today #StopAdultAbuseWeek focuses on domestic violence and abuse.

While we've all been staying at home to stay safe from coronavirus, 'at home' isn't safe for everyone.
At home shouldn’t mean at risk. If you or someone you know is suffering from #DomesticAbuse, isolation rules do not apply. Police response & support services are still available.
If you're in immediate danger call 999. If you can't speak, tap 55.

#YouAreNotAlone
If you're worried that someone you know is living with an abusive partner or family member you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and be guaranteed anonymity.
