How You See Yourself Matters Most - Thread.

How do you view yourself?
The importance of what you think of yourself cannot be overemphasized. You are the only one who knows all there is to know about you.
You know all your flaws, your failures, and the little stuff that nobody else does. Because of that, you may sometimes compare your weak points to people's strongest points. When it comes to the matter of self-image, people are rarely on the right frequency level.
Most either sell themselves short or have an overinflated ego. It’s either they are looking down on their abilities, or they are comparing their achievements to the achievement of those below them. Egotistic people love to compare their successes to the failures of others.
Then there are those on the other end of the spectrum who just can’t help but see how much they suck at everything. Both of these are dangerous habits. In the process of self-degradation, you tend to overlook the fact that everyone has shortcomings.
Everyone makes mistakes. Most times you may not even know about these things, because nobody loves to put their dirty linen out in public. This makes it harder to acknowledge they exist, because, as the saying goes ‘you never know.’
But, to be human is to keep trying to succeed until success is achieved. To be human is to fight to be better than the man you were yesterday. To be human is to overcome. Do not then make the mistake of seeing one side of the coin.
The question isn’t whether or not you have failed. The question is what are you going to do about it?
Stop focusing on the negatives. Stop focusing on limitations. Stop focusing on the times you failed. These thoughts create obstacles on your path and delay you on your journey to greatness.
The worst thing you can do is to believe you can’t. Once that thought gets embedded in your mind, it becomes nearly impossible to root it out. Force positive thoughts. Think of times when you succeeded. Think of the best things you have done.
People who achieve great things knew they were going to achieve great things. No one ever accidentally stumbled unto greatness.
Your mental processing has to be deliberate, and laser-focused. You need to have your head in the right place to achieve your goals. An overinflated ego makes the goal seem to easy, and you end up not putting in the work.
When you don’t believe in your abilities, the same thing happens. You don’t put in the work because you think even if you did you still wouldn’t get it. Both lead to the same destination.
You cannot go about your day constantly doubting yourself and expect to do anything reasonable, or anything that would yield good results in the long run. Your doubts and hesitations will always affect your execution, which would in turn affect the outcome.
All you need, to know you can do whatever you put your mind to, is look around you. Look at the magnificent structures; look at the multibillion-dollar businesses, the roads, cars, and all the wonderful things we overlook daily. Man has sent rockets to the moon.
These things were once considered impossibilities, but now they are commonplace. Ask yourself how they came to be, and you will find the answer is MAN. The only thing in your way is you. No force on this earth can stop you, but you. Try and get out of your way.
The formula remains:
- Define your goals.
- Put a deadline on them.
- Put in the work.
- Put in extra work.
- Stay focused.
The world is your playground.
