Mock made history when she signed a distribution deal with Netflix and became the first out transgender woman to secure an overall deal with a major studio.
She will have creative license to highlight communities often underrepresented in Hollywood.

Gia Marie Love is a Black trans woman leading the cast of KIKI (2016), a film documenting the cultural performance-based artform of Ballroom popularized in the early 1990s.

Love is also an active member of the Black Trans Collective ( @btfacollective), a platform connecting Black trans women and non-binary femmes to the arts community.
. @CampbellX is a Black transgender director, actor and writer in Britain, often documenting LGBTQ+ culture.
. @CampbellX wrote and directed STUD LIFE (2012), a queer urban romcom which won the Screen Nations Independent Spirit Award in 2013.
. @CampbellX is also a co-founder of the @WahalaFilm Fund for QTIPOC filmmakers.
It provides support to QTIPOC short films that require more funding in order to complete the project.
Seven King is a Black trans director that focuses on intersectional stories and LGBTQ+ actors.
His short EDEN’S GARDEN (2015) featured an all-trans male cast and focused on the issues impacting Black and Latino trans men today.

Amiyah Scott developed a following for her popular ballroom performance videos on YouTube.
From there, she played Cotton on STAR, the transgender daughter of Queen Latifah’s character on the show.
Scott is also a motivational speaker who discusses bullying, self-acceptance and embracing your authentic self.

In 2016, Mya Taylor ( @TheMyaTaylor) became the first transgender person to win an Independent Spirit Award for her lead role in TANGERINE.
Her role and subsequent win paved the way for more transgender representation on screen.
