Cis men and trans men are men.
Cis women and trans women are women.
Non-binary people are non-binary.

Are you trans, non-binary, genderqueer, etc? If not, you are cisgender. Cis woman or cis man.
And you need to start getting comfortable with that.

The same people posting "trans women are women" also post/RT lists going "women, trans women, and ..."
I get it; you want to distinguish trans people are there. Then in this example, get comfortable saying cis women too, or just say women to cover both cis and trans alike.

"But why should the majority get a distinction just because of the minority?"
Imagine a list that said "straight people, gay people, and ..."
Now imagine it said "people, gay people, and ..."
Is that clearer?

Your first thought may reject this. That's a normal reaction, so forgive yourself of it. There's nothing to perform here, no followers to gain.
Just you being honest with yourself whether you mean it when you say "trans men are men" or "trans women are women."

Surprise part 5, two months later:
If a statement reads "women and those who identify as women," that's the same as the "women and trans women" from part 2 above. Cis women also identify as women. If you're dividing it, see parts 3 & 4 for guidance.
Part 6:
Some importance besides correcting hurtful language is how people perceive/treat each other. The difference seems small, but it doesn't take much malicious propaganda to wedge in & widen cracks until perception becomes not X gender, then not like us, and then not human.
