The #BlackLivesMatter conversation that was so close to being had in the UK, has been overtaken & basically hijacked by a British media & establishment class that couldn't allow it be dictated to by Black voices. They shut it down & changed the narrative to not only suit them -

- but scare people who would've otherwise perhaps listened & engaged. It was never just about statues or memorials, it was never about TV shows from 15yrs ago. It wasn't about Churchill. But within a week, the debate was shifted & now we're back, as always, to discussing the War.

This is why for so many people, Britain has no actual identity outside of WW2. Because our public discourse is led by a print media, an establishment class & now a Prime Minister utterly obsessed with believing WW2 & Churchill are relevant to every single issue we face.

As long as they're not allowed to dictate the discussion, the conversations or the purpose for having them, the BLM cause will not disappear in the UK. But it's gonna be so hard. They want it gone. They want it forgotten already.
