Ableist jokes you need to cut out right now, a thread I'll keep adding to:
- Making fun of slow walkers
- Making fun of someone walking 'weird'
- Jokes about wheelchair users standing up/walking
- Making fun of people for not having 'enough' school qualifications (1/?)

- Jokes about adult nappies
- Jokes about people being unable to spell
- "Jokey" insults with 'tard' at the end
- Saying you're going to put someone in a wheelchair
- Making fun of how deaf people speak
- Joking about how maybe blind people can see (2/?)

- Jokes about still living with parents
- Making fun of people who don't have a job/are on benefits
- Jokes about service animals/ therapy dogs
- The 'window licker' jokes
- Jokes about how disability/illness is punishment for bigots
- Jokes about kids of anti vaxers dying (3/?)

(Also just butting in on my own thread to say, it's okay if you didn't know. Now you do. Everyone fucks up. Just try and do better. And if you need it explained to you why they're ableist, just ask me.

And yes, they're still ableist if you use them against a bigot. We see you.)

This is getting shared again so I just want to add: cutting out ableist jokes does not magically stop you being ableist. It does not get rid of the ableism rife in our society. It goes so much deeper. If you're not disabled, please keep learning and listening to us disabled folk.
