First, many #MAGA rallies are indoors. There is mounting evidence that aerosols (tiny exhaled droplets) containing #SARS-CoV-2 can linger in the air for 3 hours or more in indoor spaces with poor ventilation, and travel on air currents to others. 2/8 https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2009324

Third, social distancing (6ft) is highly recommended to limit the spread by large respiratory droplet. In contrast, recent #BLM protests are outdoor events, and have near ubiquitous wearing of masks. While social distancing is difficult, it can be done at outdoor events. I’ve attended #BLM protests while feeling like I am at minimal risk to contract or spread the virus. 6/8
