Has anyone else who is teaching Public Budgeting this fall started thinking about readings and lectures to address racial disparities in the budget process? Or how to discuss the defunding proposals? Maybe we can start pooling materials @abfm_aspa
I also think infrastructure finance, specifically water infrastructure, is a natural place to discuss racial disparities. There is a lot of work on race and community water systems. Here are two on my reading list:

I also think the discussion of fines and fees as part of local government revenue structures is a good place to expand the conversation.
