"Don't go into business with friends"

This feels like such awful advice when you inverse it:

"Spend a significant amount of your time and finances with someone you don't know nor like yet".
It's advice that if people just started saying NOW, it would immediately get ridiculed as being fucking insanity

But because segments of pop culture have been saying it for long enough, it's a meme that we just spread onto other people without questioning
At least once per week, I catch myself in mid-conversation saying some cliche truth like "Oh they say you shouldn't go into business with friends"

Ideas just sitting in your mind forming opinions because someone confident said it to you years ago
Nuance Police 👮‍♂️:

I'm not saying there are no negatives to going into business with friends.

Just saying that throwing it around as a blanket rule is absurd.
