Why can’t people debate anymore? I’ll be honest, until this year I was leaning left. I really liked Bernie’s policies even if they don’t work in the real world due to liars who take advantage of the “system”. I thought, “the world is going in the can anyways so why not make

everyone’s lives easier financially, and hopefully people will start to do right and not con the system”. When the DNC very obviously pushed Bernie out, i was shocked! How could someone do this to their own?

What was worse than the facts that i was seeing, was the fact that “typically” when asking about or discussing a fact with a “leftist”, i would get attacked without any sort of evidence. When you try to argue facts against someone who argues that trump is rude or a bad man, it’s

a never ending battle that gets no where. I get it, Trump is a deuche, but that has absolutely nothing to do with picking a president. We aren’t on tinder trying to find a friend, we are looking for someone with policies that might could fix our broken system and even more,

someone who implements those policies rather than just talking about them. “Typically” when speaking with someone on the right, we were actually able to debate,

whether we agreed or not, we were able to see each other’s sides but we never argued the facts. It really confused me as to why anyone would argue facts rather than policies but then i seen that the media skews certain “facts” on both sides. This is why it’s important to debate,

to get to the bottom of the facts we are fed and to understand why a “fact” is not relevant or is plain out wrong. Now that I have chosen, for the time being, the right side of the aisle, I truly want to debate facts from the other side, as we are humans and are wrong at times.

However, the attitude that i receive and the arguments i get into typically end up being based on me presenting facts and the other side presenting emotions. I’m not here to debate emotions because that is how you create hate.

If the left don’t stop attacking and eating their own for simply asking questions, people who develop curiosity will find theirselves more in line with people on the right. I feel like more than ever, we need to get to the bottom of things and to quit arguing!

We are so divided and we will never get anywhere like this. Whether we agree or not, we need each other more than ever to get things figured out as i don’t believe that either side is completely wrong or right. Just my thoughts!
