8 ways to protect your mental health

Thread for the youngsters.
1. Avoid the bad crowd

Maybe it'll seem uncool not to do drugs w/ the popular crowd but when they take it too far, and they will, this is going to be one crowd to stay clear of.

Gaining new experiences is a part of life but messing with the wrong crowd will close off your life.
2. Porn is evil

Pornography is so mainstream nowadays, and easily accessible, that it's going to be hard to avoid.

You may even be peer pressured into watching it.

But exposing your mind to it at an early age, especially if it develops into a daily obsession, is so damaging.
3. Open up about your struggles

Talk to someone you trust about any struggles you're experiencing. The sooner you open up a dialogue & build a rapport with someone, you'll realise it's healthier to talk about your issues rather than to bottle them up.

Don't suffer in silence.
4. Exercise routinely

By exercising from a young age and building that foundation for your future, you'll be at an advantage when you need it most.

It's so important.

Whilst others aren't creating that repetition, you'll have it engrained in your daily routine.

Maintain that.
5. Stick with the winners

Stick with positive people too.

There is nothing worse than hanging out with negative people who always seem to bring you down.

Whether it's their overall negative demeanour or their lack of ambition,

Break free & form a tribe of successful winners.
6. Alcohol is not the solution

Nor are drugs.

The readily accessible nature of alcohol and the cultural dependence for it, means that it's hard not to fall into.

Especially when you're struggling.

But if you can avoid going down this route, honestly, you'll benefit greatly.
7. Eat well, drink plenty of water and get outdoors

Whilst avoiding too much booze, you need to be keeping your body & mind hydrated and well fed.

Getting outdoors into nature, breathing fresh air and being active is so beneficial, physically and mentally.
8. Keep gaining knowledge

A lot of youngsters are glued to their phones but are not using them properly.

They're just mindlessly scrolling social media.

Either use it to research a topic you're interested in or put it down & read an informative book.

Feed your brain wisely.
Your mental health is so important.

It's something that you can control.

Just like your physical health, it's what you do that counts. The action you put in.

Make wise choices.

Form symbiosis with your mind & protect each other.
