Let's review, class!

1. Fiction CAN affect reality, but in nuanced ways that typically amount to strengthening existing biases people already have.

2. Shipping doesn't even fit into that category. It's creating a hypothetical scenario about someone else's fiction in your head.

3. Shipping doesn't count as 'representation'. Nor does fanfiction. They're hobbies. They're playing in a sandbox. They couldn't be more inconsequential.

4. Sexual fantasies are normal. Kinks are normal. Taboo kinks are normal. This has been established for decades.

5. 'Interrogate your kinks' is radfem rhetoric. 'Queer is a slur' is radfem rhetoric. Hating 'fujoshi' is radfem dogwhistling. That means TE/RFs. You are literally talking like a TE/RF. This isn't hypothetical it has been proven. (cw transphobia, homophobia)

6. Fandom has been around for a long fucking time. The reason the 'gross 30 year olds' don't agree with your shit is because we've been here since the beginning and WATCHED as this rhetoric fucked your brains and radicalized you. Fiction does not matter. Shipping does not matter.

7. Falsely accusing people of crimes is illegal. Harassment and death threats are illegal. I know you guys think that you're immune to consequences because you're online but you're not. This shit WILL bite you in the ass. The internet is forever.

I'm tired of the performance. I'm tired of yall putting 'B/L/M' in your profiles and then calling qpoc 'freaks of color' who should be jailed over art. Yelling about JKR but participating in the same kink shaming, queerphobic, exclusionist rhetoric that her ilk has popularized.

8. I’m still in awe that I have to say this but once you hurt a real person, a real CHILD, all bets are off. I do not care about fiction at that point. I do not care about what hypothetical harm it might cause to a hypothetical person. Real people >>>>> drawings or straw victims

9. ‘Hurt’ is measured by direct, tangible harm. Not ‘I saw this and it made me uncomfy!’ or ‘an abuser might use Thing to bring harm thus Thing Bad and the person who created Thing is ultimately guilty’

Abusers harm people. Harassment harms people. Suicide baiting harms people.
