4 years ago, #AdamaTraore (24 yo) died in France in the same way as #GeorgeFlyod. He died after 3 policemen sat on him after he was arrested for fleeing an identity check. His last words were "I can't breathe".

Police violence is endemic in France and often targets Arabic or Black people. This year 2 other people died after being restrained by the police: 3/10
The Ministry filed 4 appeals but @LaRumeur was eventually cleared! It's a record for a case like this and that must have costed tens of thousands of € in legal fees. 8/10

Policemen in France are much more likely to vote for the Front National (54% vs 21% at the last presidential election). A party that blames immigrants for about everything wrong in the country. It's hard to imagine that it doesn't affect the way they treat minorities. 10/10
