Sinhalese who are cheering this on - there are a few statues and monuments celebrating the genocide and its perpetrators in various locations across the North-East. Please feel free to go and tear them down. I have a list if you need https://twitter.com/sarah_turnnidge/status/1269646528622272513
Some of the monuments (photos mine, apart from where notes otherwise):
In Vavuniya town, monument to Lt Gen Denzil Kobbekaduwa, who was a senior commander of the Sri Lankan Army
In Vavuniya town, monument to Lt Gen Denzil Kobbekaduwa, who was a senior commander of the Sri Lankan Army
In Pallawarayankaddu, Kilinochchi, a victory monument. It says “one nation, one country” in English but in Tamil it says “one country, one race”

In Puthukudiyiruppu, Mullaithivu. A victory monument. Conveniently located in a pond, so if you tear it down you can dump it straight in the water
In Kilinochchi town, this monstrosity of a victory monument. The local council decided to dismantle it a few years back but it wasn’t allowed
In Kudumbimalai, Batticaloa, a victory monument, opened by war criminals Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Jagath Jayasuriya
On the flip side..Tamil monuments, statues and even cemeteries were destroyed consistently by the Sri Lankan state over the decades, including the Sivakumaran memorial in Urumpirai
All LTTE cemetery were destroyed, many without a trace, but some have remains scattered around, like here in Aalangkulam, Trincomalee
And there are many many more Tamil statues and monuments that were destroyed
