Have you wondered why #BTS has read us tales on

The #BU is a fairy tale and #JIN is our #HERO here. Why? Well...it looks like he’s the main character. All fairytales have a HERO. This HERO starts a journey to beat the evil (a dragon) or to find themselves.
But it could mean the SAME THING: the Individuation Process
But it could mean the SAME THING: the Individuation Process

In Psychology the #Hero’s Journey (or monomyth) is used as a metaphor for personal spiritual and psychological growth; a personal insight. It uses references to archetypes (Jungian #Psychology). It’s a journey to #LOVEYOURSELF. To understand yourself. Like a therapy.
It is also said that archetypes are universal. Greek Gods, for example, are ancient archetypes. This is also related to the #CollectiveUnconscious but I won’t explain it here since it’s little bit complicated. I’ll link this video instead. That’s be enough for now

A lot of stories are based on this concept, like The Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, The Lion King and many more.
Myths are a metaphor of life. A dragon could represent our #SHADOW and our inner demons, for example. These are all METAPHORS. Psychologically these (myths) all come to the same thing: oneself—the acceptance of one’s true feelings and talents, one’s uniqueness.
Dreams also represent the unconscious. It’s something our mind is trying to tell us. Or maybe something our heart desires. If we want to reach the DREAM we need to finish the Journey.

So now that we know what a fairy tale is and how they inspire us to become better, braver and stronger irl, let’s talk about BTS’ #TheNewJourney: HERO. The next step.
(BTW, Jin is the HERO here but I personally think Jin represents the 7 members and each one of us. #BTS = #HERO)

Summing up again, #BTS wants to be our #HERO. The one who fights against the dragon. The one who’d burn itself like a candle to give us light. It could be a metaphor ab giving us the tools to beat our dragons and those tools would be their music, love and support, for example

But they also want us to be our own HERO. We’re the heroes in our story. We are the ones who must take this journey. What #BTS is giving us is the Map (Of The Soul). So we can know were to start and how to get through it, so we won’t get lost. Just like Alice in Wonderland.
So, “The #HERO’s Journey, is the common template of a broad category of tales and lore that involves a hero who goes on an adventure, and in a decisive crisis wins a victory, and then comes home changed or transformed”.
I quote “Hero myth pattern studies were popularized by #JosephCampbell, who was influenced by #CarlJung's view of myth”. He also said there’re 12 steps and that we have the Ordinary World (it could be Outter World in Psychology) and Special World (Inner World).
The "hero's journey" is the ultimate narrative archetype, but it has been used more generally as a term for a mythological archetype:
(Talking about myths, I found this: ”Ivanov understood #Dionysus as an avatar for Christ. By means of the #mask, he argued, the tragic #hero appears not as an individual character but rather as the embodiment of a fundamental Dionysian reality, "the one all-human I.")
Also, the masks a #HERO
decides to wear vary according to the conditions of the moment. So a HERO could be wearing different masks through the same journey.

So, the #HERO’s journey has 3 phases: separation (departure), initiation and return. Let’s look first at the phases and then the 12 steps. I’ll explain them and give some mvs/BU examples.
So we have:
The Departure Act: the Hero leaves the Ordinary World.
The Initiation Act: the Hero ventures into unknown territory (the " Special World ") and is birthed into a true champion through various trials and challenges.
The Return Act: the Hero returns in triumph.

You must know “as the #HERO traverses the world, they'll undergo inner and outer transformation at each stage of the journey”.
I personally think that we’re stuck in Part Two: Initiation right now. We already saw Part One: Separation.
Let me explain and give you some examples
Let me explain and give you some examples

PART ONE: DEPARTURE
We’ve seen that Jin wants to go back in time
and make the right choices to help and safe his friends. So:
1. We already know his “Ordinary World” (his Mom d*ed and he lives with his Father; he went to LA and came back, etc).

We’ve seen that Jin wants to go back in time

1. We already know his “Ordinary World” (his Mom d*ed and he lives with his Father; he went to LA and came back, etc).
2. “Call to Adventure”
in which an adventure starts. I can’t remember if he denies it or refuses but in that case, that would be 3. We also have 4, the Cat would be his Mentor, someone who helps the #Hero. Provides practical training and profound wisdom

5. “Crossing the First Threshold” in which the #Hero enters the other world in earnest
This could be represented in their mvs as blackwholes or wormwholes. Now the Hero is ready and committed to the journey. This marks the end of the Departure stage.

PART 2: From this point on, there’s no turning back. We can see that Jin once he realizes he can go “back in time” he tries to connect the dots and tries again and again. That’s: 6. Tests, Allies. We always see him trying to save the members and some members also try to help him.
This stage often expands the cast of characters. We have 7 main characters. Once the protagonist ( #Jin) is in the Special World, he will meet allies and enemies.
Some ARMYs said the main antagonists could be #Taehyung or #Hoseok. We’ll see!
Some ARMYs said the main antagonists could be #Taehyung or #Hoseok. We’ll see!

When we step into the Special World, we notice a definite shift. The #Hero might be discombobulated by this unfamiliar reality and its new rules. This is generally one of the longest stages in the story, as our protagonist gets to grips with this new world. We’re stuck here.
We haven’t seen number 7 and 8 yet. We can also include #FAKE_LOVE as Crisis here. We know his biggest fear is to lose his friends. But in the SAVE ME webtoon he’s still trying. In #TheNotes he hasn’t reach 7 and 8 either.
So I think, in the next cb we’ll see those 2 stages and Number 9; Reward (Seizing the Sword) in which the Hero sees light at the end of the tunnel. We’ll see how he can save his friends
The “reward” is the object or knowledge the Hero has fought throughout the entire journey.

This makes sense ‘cause in fairy tales we also have a confrontation with a #FATHER figure. We know Jin’s Father is related to this whole story. He knows something’s going on. Maybe we’ll see Jin facing his Father and asking for answers.
And they (Jin and the members) already faced the temptation (BST; also maybe Highlight Reel: ANIMA).
So what happens in PART THREE? We’ll see Jin saving his friends and we’ll know what this is all about. FINALLY.
I think #MOTS isn’t over yet!

And that’s it! This was a long thread
I’m so sorry, I tried to make it as short as possible! You can watch the whole video I used here (I only tweeted the important things, but I recommend you to watch the whole thing). THANKS FOR READING!
