Inb4 someone says “but I worked hard to get my platform.” Yeah, but other folks are working hard too and not getting the platform. That’s the point.
And while we’re at it, every white woman who “mentored me” gaslit me, weaponised compliments, appropriated me. Then, when it came to it, when I was successful, they banished me from those spaces because I was no longer the token beginner brown protege.
Black and brown folks are better off getting mentors who understand their identities and struggles, not you.
