Daka has been in excellent form this season, being involved in a goal every 70 minutes with 18 goals and 4 assists! The StatsBomb radar shows us the elite form that he has been in this season.

Daka is lethal in the 6 yard box, he makes excellent runs usually with a bolt of speed to the near post. He takes advantage of any mistakes or loose balls, getting in excellent high expected goals positions (0.23 xG per shot). @StatsPerform

Here @MartonBalla1 compared the best u21 strikers outside of the top 5 leagues, of course we have to bare in mind the dominance of Salzburg in Austria, but Paka’s similarity to Haaland is very encouraging

Here is an example of his rapid movement to create distance from the defender to get a shot on goal. He chooses the right moment to burst with pace, this is his preferred movement. Personally, I love these kinds of goals, tancity, intelligent movement and great speed.

Once he is in full flow he is unstoppably rapid, the finish is super confident and clean.

He makes excellent runs and tries to utilise the space in behind the defenders, this chance came to no avail but the movement and positioning between the defenders is impressive

He made lots of good runs behind the Frankfurt defence, unfortunately the passes just evaded him.

Daka will surely become yet another Salzburg gem who secures a move to a top team in Europe. Does the Austrian Bundesliga have the best defences? No... but it is still a very underrated league, and we have seen many success stories come out of it (Keita, Håland, Mané etc.)

What Daka will need to succeed is the correct system and players around him. At Salzburg he receives a ton of chances helped by strike partners and the midfield running beyond and into the channels to create crossing opportunities in the 6 yard box.

A move to #Leipzig to replace Werner is very possible and the style of play would suit Daka excellently. He can run the channels, run in behind and will take his chances well. Under Nagelsmann he would improve his link up play and technical ability even more.
