Guys. In today's environment of ops, unmaskings, and general hall of mirrors, friendly reminder that just because I RT something, doesn't mean I endorse it. Keep your eyes on everything, stay frosty, and learn to assess IW situation as a whole.

It all fits into something.
Some people have misinterpreted my strategy with knee-jerk reactions. I take a broader view because it helps me decode things better if I know what the other side(s) are doing.

It helps me pick up on nefarious things way earlier than most people, too.
I generally don't block shady actors unless they're harassing me or doing something else which generates risk. Sometimes I can educate the misinformed.

But as I told a friend yesterday, sometimes you have to back away, and let law enforcement handle things.

Because, they are.
Annoying tweets spreading deza are annoying, yes. They can lead people astray, yes. But they can also TELL you important things, like what the agenda behind nefarious actors is, why that agenda has popped up just now, and what that agenda is leading to. (My lesson from Sunday).
We have reached a critical point where nefarious agendas are concerned.

Namely, there are traitors afoot who quite literally want to overturn the rule of law and democracy itself. They have reached their endgame and are actively attacking our institutions, safety, and military.
Our enemies use a strategy called Useful Idiots. These UIs can be politicians, actors, newspaper/media orgs, and other high-profile targets that help advance (often unwittingly) the enemy's agenda.

Or they might be your next-door neighbor, or even your Twitter friend(s).
There are some people in our little corner of NATSEC cyberspace who are doing some really awful, illegal things. Online harassment, psychological terrorism (yes I used that word), hacking, illegal surveillance. It's bad. Why would anybody do that, you wonder?

Well....
It's all about cultivation. SOCMED is a legit weapon of war, as some of our allies have even officially decreed. It can help bad actors crack open the emotional vulnerabilities of flawed humans (and we are all thus), and exploit those vulnerabilities to do evil.

Look at DC.
Do you think all those cosplayers with long guns just showed up by accident? All of them were most likely cultivated over a long period of time via psyops, with this exact endgame in mind.

You might know some people who are sympathetic to that op, who think it's no big deal.
Beware. Because when mercenary rent-a-cops pretending to be agents to the state start getting used by corrupt officials to try to dismantle the state, it IS a big deal.

I'll let the law explain.
This is the last, most important part of my message today.

It is safe to assume that all of us have been targeted by enemy psyop campaigns on SOCMED. We may recognize them on sight now (sometimes), but we don't always. Some are just now unmasking.
An essential part of most enemy psyops is they operate on a kind of funnel system. They start out with a broad opening---friendly, inclusive, messages we agree with, and are even fun. This collects the audience into the trap. Bait, if you will.
But once the audience is "captured," a switch is flicked and things start to change. Sometimes the change happens so slowly that you don't notice it. At least, not at first.

But the changes are happening, bit by bit, and it's all designed to move you along a thought spectrum.
The handlers who run these ops try to build a relationship with you with flattery, fun, interesting information, maybe even "conferences" where they gather their followers around them at parties in real life.

It's all part of the psyop game.
There's a price for the fun, though. They want you to do something for them in exchange, which could range from not believing certain bad actors are actually bad thanks to the "trustwashing" the op is doing to you (or maybe you'll help them spread that propaganda!)...
...to becoming on of the op's online "minions" who swarm and attack anyone who questions the op leader's motives or fact-checks him/her.

And that's where things can start to go bad for you, if you start doing that bidding. And cross lines. Into _really_ bad things.
Because if you've become a full-fledged Useful Idiot (or worse, you're a willing/witting True Believer, and there are lots of those too), eventually you'll be cultivated into helping carry out an endgame of some sort. It could be small (harassing someone), or large (sedition).
And this is where it gets dangerous.
I made some comments earlier this week that I was going to start talking about cults, and how the Kremlin is involved in cultivating them. Well, suffice to say, that cults are a type of psyop, and they use some of the same tactics as some of the groups you're seeing unmask now.
(Please excuse typos above, I really wish Twitter had an Edit Button.)

Now I'm gonna share some links to past cult activities which involved attacks on the state/public, and you can tell me if you notice any similarities to what's happening right now. Draw your own conclusions.

This is from encyclopedia entry on Branch Davidians. Here, I have circled in red some of the themes you will see shared among almost all cults that end in violence. They seem to follow a similar playbook and originate, often, with Eastern European or Russia-friendly leaders:
Here's some info on the leader of the Rajneeshis, who was from India, but friendly with Russia and modeled himself on a Soviet "spiritual leader":

(Abuse, rewards for cruelty, and funding ops via prostitution and drug-running, hmm?? And RUSSIA?? ARE WE GETTING IT YET??!!)
And this is from Aum Shinrikyo, which pushed a doomsday doctrine that the end of the world would result from a Third World War caused by the United States.

Funny, I seem to recall certain Kremliny agents, including Mr. Putin, using this same talking point a lot.
I'm gonna stop here for now (family duties) but more still to come.

But whenever you hear "cult experts" online going OH NO NO NONE OF THIS IS A CULT, ABSOLUTELY NOT!! UNPOSSIBLE! (and they are doing that now), ask yourself, _why_.
Jumping back on for just a sec. My threads this week have made some ppl mad, and I expected that. It also means I'm over a bullseye.

Many don't like to admit when they've made mistakes or fallen for ops. But it happens.

Develop humility. Learn. Stay frosty.

More coming soon.
