In 2019, Drew Brees came to New Orleans’ Gentilly neighborhood; per a report from @RodWalkerNola Brees donated $250,000 to help build the KIPP Believe in Gentilly, a charter school servicing 750 students. This low-income has struggled since Hurricane Katrina.

Joe W. Brown Memorial Park in Eastern New Orleans is a 135-acre park with an activities center, in-door heated pool, ball fields, shelters, play equipment and a nature center. After sustaining major damage during Hurricane Katrina, the park was restored with help fm Drew Brees.
