I'll elaborate more later but I did want to quickly mention that anarchism is a political philosophy with deep questions about power and consent and it's for those reasons that liberals and conservatives alike misrepresent them regarding the riots.
Obviously not all (or even most) of the rioters call themselves anarchists. This is mostly in response to the media line about propping up scapegoats to distract from legitimate outrage at sustained, targeted police brutality.
Anarchists are, like, real people with hard questions and not just faceless boogeymen for the media to exploit.
