Our parents can teach us more about life than the rest of the world put together : A thread
Dad said, "always remember you can earn billions but you can't ever trade it for your lost chilhood."

Time is money, money isn't time.

Economics calls it "time value of money" and not the reverse.
Mom said, "You know why are many so sad?"

'cause they're in pursuit of what they see in movies, TV shows & on YouTube but little do they understand that it's the performer's fantasy. Today the simplicity & practicality of the 70-90s has got clouded by the materialistic mindset.
Dad said, "If you know that you are right and what the rest are doing is wrong, always stand with what is right, with pride. But if you are wrong, apologize immediately and keep your head down."
Mom said, "If you won't take care of yourself no one else can take care of you not even me."
Dad said, "Always help others but don't ever put yourself in trouble to help someone."

People may call you selfish but it's necessary to help yourself before you help someone else.
Mom said, "Don't believe in god so that you can beg things from him, believe in him
so that when you'll lose faith, your mind will continue having faith on that power you worship which will give you the courage to fight through."
Dad said, "Always do business with those who are good at heart, you might earn a little less but those will be your most valuable connections."
Dad said, "anything when bought as a single piece is costlier than when it's bought in bulk."
Dad said, "You can either work for 24 hours in a day or 300 hours in a day, choice is yours."

Didn't get it? A business owner has 50 employees working 6 hours a day :)

Those who know how to get their work done by others are the real conquerors.
Mom said, "Child, always respect your spouse and their family even though they might be doing 100 things wrong because you're always seen as his wife/her husband."

If you'll insult your spouse people won't respect you either.

We all make mistakes :)
Dad said, "Life's most important things aren't things."
Mom said, "When you'll be about to die, you won't remember the money you made, but you'll remember the moments you spent laughing and enjoying."
Mom said, "The day you understand the value of a minute of your life, that day your life will take a 180deg turn."
Once my father said, your life is like the flow of a river.

Origin of river: Birth
Making it's own path: Living life
Merging with the ocean/sea: Death
Dad said, "Talk to everyone, take advice from everyone but always do what you want."
Mom said, "Life's really fun when the world thinks you don't know what they're talking about."
