Free Stuff Thread:

Silent movie watching does NOT have to be expensive. Here's a list of free and legal streaming resources:

The NFPF Screening Room (it has HELL'S HINGES)

Henri is the new, free streaming service from Cinémathèque Française.

Denmark recently made their entire early film history available for online streaming: https://www.stumfilm.dk/en/stumfilm
Finland's film history is also available for free streaming.

(I linked to their English subs list but most of the silents were originally titled in both Finnish and Swedish.)

Canada's NFB has quite a few silent animated shorts available. (Link may not work outside North America.)

The European Film Gateway has titles from all over the continent, including Hollywood releases that were sent overseas:

(Feel free to chime in with any free, legit online archival resources. They're not always easy to find for non-native speakers so any help is appreciated.)
The BFI's streaming service is region locked but their YouTube channel can be viewed worldwide. Nice silent classics there, including the greatest film ever made:
There are enough films here for years of study and enjoyment and all absolutely free. I'll keep adding content as I find it.
I should also add that I am trying to avoid resources with region locks or that require a login or library card. And, obviously, only official, legal sources.
