i’m from hong kong and protesters here have some of the smartest tactics when fighting with our own police brutality. Here is an example of how they put out tear gas. I’ll share more if y’all need

protestors have also used a way of “tucking their shirts in” as to prevent police dressing up as protestors(undercover cops) who are arming guns/pepper spray
undercover cops usually have equipments such as earphones/earbuds as they would need to receive orders from their commander. it is worth watching out for that as well
Turn off ur Face ID/Thumb ID on ur phone!!
If you got arrested they could unlock ur phone by just put it in front of ur face and unlock it or use ur thumb to unlock it and see what’s inside ur phone to find proof to charge you

hk protests would also leave prepaid transit tickets and cash for other protesters that have to flea in a hurry. Its is rlly important to buy tickets using CASH instead of metrocards/credit cards or any other payment
