Had a very lovely and colorful conversation with a middle aged woman at Safeway. I was told I need to think of someone other than myself, in reference to masks of course. So here’s why I’m still rebellious against these guidelines.
I don’t just see a silly mask to be worn for a short period of time. I see what the mask symbolizes. It’s submission. It’s complacency. It’s acceptance of deceit. It’s silence. It’s everything that freedom is not.
I don’t rebel against wearing a mask because I don’t care about older generations. I do it for the youngest members of our population. The ones that are counting on us to ensure them a life of freedom and opportunity.
