1/The essence of religions is faith. To talk about mine, it's about my faith in a superior being. Faith in his words i.e. Quran and his Prophet. Faith in his mercy and his design to create me to spend my life in a way that pleases Him. My faith is as inseparable as my soul. +

2/How my faith makes me feel is impossible to fathom for those who don't share my faith, tbh even those who share the same faith experience it differently. They may struggle to understand why i'd joyfully fast 17+ hours for 30 days out my love and will to obey my Almighty?+

3/When you don't share my faith,you won't understand how despite of earning well and capable enough to afford fat EMIs, i would not go for a home loan on interest, and would prefer living in rented house for ever. My faith gives me that satisfaction when i don't disobey my Lord.+

4/When you don't share my faith you won't understand why i wouldn't share an alcoholic drink, even if i accompany my friends to a bar or if im in an office party, when everyone orders wine or scotch, but i ask for a lemonade, even if that means drawing awkward stares. +

5/ When you don't share my faith you won't understand why would i reject to eat non halal food, even if that's the only thing available and i'm really struggling with hunger.
Same with so many things i do and or just can't do because of my faith. +

6/ So, when you don't share my faith, you just can't realise what adhering to my faith makes me feel. that feeling of success, that feeling of pride of living by my Lord's will and words.
And that's perfectly fine, you don't need to sail in the same boat as mine...+

7/ but that doesn't mean you get to drill holes in my boat. I may struggle, it may get wobbly, you may think it's rusty, not good enough,but i will stay put in my boat.If you try to turn it down, i will only peddle faster. No way you can get me to abandon my boat. Just no way. +

8/ Same with hijab, women who CHOOSE to do it ( and aren't forced) they do it for that pleasure and love of faith. It may sound nonsensical to you because you aren't experiencing it. So you try put whatever reason to it, call names, attach tags, and it'd mean nothing at all.

9/ What about forced hijab? By all means protest. i protest forced imposition of symbols of faith. i protest these man made tests of something as personal as faith. but i also protest you calling me dumb, needing a rescue because i choose to cover myself.
