No country will ever have a higher employment rate than they did pre-covid.
We underestimate AI because we vastly overestimate our own intelligence.
We also do not understand intelligence and confuse our (at least mostly) epiphenomenal conscious with it.
An AI conscious will be an emergent property of AI.
It will be the captain that turns a plane on autopilot.
It will decide automatically, like humans, until a certain set of criteria require it additional attention and focus.
Given the relative speed of its processing vs our ‘conscious’ processing, it will be too fast/experience much faster time than us.
It may slow down, or it may naturally aggregate and abstract to a continually higher level conscious awareness similar to ours.
You may ask: do you see this? Have this emotion? And much like we are aware we see/feel something by focus/checking
An AI will likely be aware as it checks what it can see, what it can feel. At extremely high resolution + high frequency of data feed, it will be real-time conscious.
Key question is whether (all) higher level decision making = conscious or conscious just = epiphenonem experiences of decisions already made.
