Back on my bullshit but the "grooming" angle in banning all or even some fictional content gets me because literally none of these people understand how grooming people/children actually works and that makes my gut churn.
Posturing like they're teaching kids how to protect themselves from manipulation and those who'd prey on them when they dont understand as a concept how grooming is accomplished. Its trust.
They build that trust and make you think that they're the *only* one who understands, they seed distrust in others, they *love* you, it's good feelings and affection, its validation.
Any number of things can be used for this from candy to MLP to just being there to listen.
Sure that Problematic fiction could be used but a lot of times it isnt especially content kept in context with the OG creator because most of us love to slap warnings on that shit.
But if someone is preying on vulnerable ppl they will try their hardest to make you believe in them and only them, that's their end goal or make it seem like you have no one else to turn to. Distrust all other figures of authority. They're Safe. Sound familiar?
Theres two layers here, the people who dont have a clue about grooming as a tool and the other half knows *exactly* what to do and how to do it whether they know it or not.
And this is me personally I have only ever seen people using that Problematic content for grooming in the context of anti culture, grooming kids to only trust them because LOOK at what those Nasties draw! Look at this marked 🔞 blog! Look!
Be afraid! They're going to get you! Trust me, let me protect you, I can do that, I know you've been scared and hurt by something, tell me, I just want to help, I'm here for you! I'm not like Them I'm a good adult whose looking after your wellbeing.
"It can be used in grooming!" Please. Yall are already doing that all by yourselves n that makes me wanna puke more than the most disturbing art I've ever seen.
