Let's talk about Otis. Does he love Georgiana? Or her money?

I like the idea that maybe he was supposed to mirror a young Sidney. Both men made mistakes and had someone bail them out. Tom bailed Sidney out. Sidney bailed Otis out. (1/6)

But Georgiana did get kidnapped because of Otis' debts.

But after #AskJustin it is more clear to me that Otis was merely a victim of his circumstance. He made bad choices, but no one was kidnapping Sidney's family when he was in debt. (2/6)

Otis is a good man that made "one terrible mistake".

He really does love Georgiana. He did fall in madly in love with her soul (one of the best lines of the series & acted brilliantly)... not her money. (3/6)

The more I watch episode 6, the more I see just utter the devastation between Georgiana and Otis. The pain in their eyes. The despair G feels when she tells him "what does that matter now". They actually truly love each other, but she cannot trust him now. (4/6)

So here is my hope for the future: Otis wins back G!

Specifically with S's help. I think S now realizes that Otis is more like him than he thought. G's father took S under his wing. I like the idea S does the same for Otis. (5/6)

Like Darcy bringing Bingley back to Jane after separating them. Sidney brings Otis back to G. S signs off on their marriage. Then Georgiana is free to be happy with Otis!! They can stay in England or go to Antigua, whatever their hearts desire. (6/6)
