You may have heard, but Uber Eats now lets you tip both the restaurant and the delivery person directly if you want, even in Japan. For me this makes it a lot more usable.

Since ppl point out that the *need* for tipping sucks: I agree. I hate the concept of tipping. I want companies to pay their people correctly. But in this circumstance, when delivery options are limited, I like being able to tip the workers directly. I don’t like Uber. That’s it.

My last clarification:

-I order takeout locally when possible
-I intend to support local restaurants and delivery people
