Ornament of kashmiri pandit women, dejhoor/athoor or ath. It has similar significance to mangalasutra in kashmiri pandit culture, and as a tradition goes back to pre islamic era which can be seen through multiple scupture where even men sport similar ear chains.
Traditional bridal ornaments of a north indian women. Passa/jhoomer/chapka.This ornamnet is common to north western india. Although nowdays it is being associated with muslim or even sometimes being called "mughal ornament" that is not the case. Since the word is sanskirt origin
Passa is prakrit word for parsva, which means "side" in north indian languages. Pārśva (पार्श्व) refers to the “sides” it somehow came to be associated with muslims as how frequently it was used by tawaifs. And hindus distanced from it equating it with immodesty.
Traditional marriage ornaments of south indian women, "jada" or a long braid ornament which comes in simple gajra style and even single gold or multiple pieces added into hair ending in a suspended ending similar to paranda.
It's history too goes beyond 1000 years.
Non connected styles which may or may not come with false braid.
