Okay #watchthread ...just remember my serious interest in watches is only a few months old. I have a couple and wear them here and there... till recently. Now I love to wear it and I am fully invested
Also I like subtlety a lot ... in everything but especially with watches. No big ass, bejeweled faces, “loud” colors etc... I just want my things classic and elegant and simple
1st up. This #tissot powermatic 80. Comes in different colors but I like this dark blue face because it’s lowkey and also my favorite color . Swiss made, perfect for every occasion really
Next up is the #classima10323 from Baume and Mercier. New (to me) but look how clean this watch looks
Here is an entry for sports watch... #TAGHeuer #Formula1 watch. The blue complement the yellow so well in this colorway
If you like watch designs other than the usual roundish faces may I suggest this super elegant #cartier #tanksolo .
Love Seiko watches... this one is from their Elegance collection. It’s called the grand Seiko sbgk007(007 cos apparently James Bond wore in the movies or sth). Either colorway slaps really
Alright last one(for now) is this watch that is sitting very high up on my visions. I feel like if you are going to get a Rolex, find one that is a bit more.... interesting. So this watch is a Rolex released in my birth year (1987). makes it more meaningful to me

Id like to add Nomos watches to this list. Minimalist super clean designs with the efficiency of German watch making. Absolutely love every Nomos I’ve seen so far but the autobahn is pretty high on my list
Also I realized I am an absolute whore for Casio watches. They are the 1st watch for most of us so there is that sentimental factor. but also they make really impressive , durable watches for less than 50% of what other serious watchmakers charge
For casual sporty watches you can’t go wrong with this dive watch. I am constantly using the rotating bezel to set timers and it’s ...yeah really fun
Want something more flexible ?-can dress it up or dress it down, and it’s a steal? Look up the Casio edifice .
I have a price , and that price is an omega Seamaster. Not only did it go to the moon and survive, it’s an absolute horological masterpiece
I promise you I will have no morals if you can get me the omega Seamaster lol
For my birthday next month I wanted to get myself a watch (of course) but to make it more meaningful... one that was released in my birth year

Somehow the stainless steel versions of Rolex retain their value more than most of the precious metals version. Don’t know exactly why but helpful tip if you getting one

Rest assured no watch on this list is a “fashion watch” ... these picks are from actual watch makers who have generations/yrs of craftsmanship behind their products.
Fashion watches look cool but they hardly hold up over the years, rarely have complex features and you can’t make it a family heirloom(in my opinion, &my opinion is right)

The dial is diamond set... great, but kicker for me is the moon phases feature. So not only does it tell you the time and date, it also tells you the phases of the moon. To me that is really cool
Don’t forget to wind your mechanical watches every 36-48 hrs to keep running. Almost had a heart attack when I saw mine had stopped running today smh.
Torn between the speed master and submariner for next watch. It’s likely going to be the former . Hope I win the lottery so I can get both at once

Got the seiko X street fighter V chun li model and absolutely love it. This is more of a collector item than an everyday watch for me.

I think the Bond movies are part of why Rolex has such brand recognition and status among watch lovers. The 1st 3 movies featured the Rolex submariner....And today it is still one of the most popular Rolex watches.
