I think is well overlooked in how well some Akatsuki members' deaths correlate or correspond with they duo counterpart and how well they represent the beliefs/way of life of the passing member (read the thread)

Itachi and Kisame
Itachi had a purpose but his life was taken away due to the massacre
Kisame was given a life but lacked a purpose in it
Itachi was a pacifist and died a peaceful death while Kisame loved murder and violence and died a brutal one

Both fulfilled wht they were lacking in death whereas Itachi got to choose how to end his life and Kisame found his purpose in death

Obito and Zetsu
Both Obito and Zetsu were given a purpose Obito was given the identity Madara Uchiha and fulfill project tsukuyomi but more importantly revive Madara and Zetsu was also given the plan to revive Kaguya both couldnt detach from the past to grow anew Obito couldnt

completely reject his former self and Zetsu couldnt grow up from his mother and leave the nest both live their lives a lie and in the end Obito died and was reborn as Obito Uchiha allowing him to grow up and accept tht he was wrong eventually dying again giving his dream of kage

Nagato and Konan
Both Nagato and Konan advocated for peace and justice both were pacifist until Yahiko died
But both died in the name of peace one way or another. Nagato died upholding the peace or reconstructing it hence reviving everyone and believing in Naruto this triggered

both of them becoming of COP Konan sadly was trying to maintain tht peace and stay a pillar but tht piller was scattered once she died and Tobi got the rinnegan ironically giving her enemy the very eyes tht allowed nagato to reconstruct peace

Deidara and Sasori
Both had conflicting ideas on wht true art was and how to live life
Sasori believed tht art/life was beauty tht lived on for generations
He could not let go of the past nor the future and in the end his life was taken away by his mother and father puppets

Deidara believed “art was an explosion” meaning life is all about living in the moment art wasnt about how long it lasted just wht it produced Deidara had no ties to his past nor did he think about the distant future since this was the case for him suicide was rather easy for him

Hidan and Kakuzu
Both were extremely cocky and immortal but hidan was religious and Kakuzu was not
Ironically Hidan died in a burst of flames sending him underground and Kakuzu died to someone he was hunting in the bingo book for money. Kakuzu’s main drive was collection of money

cause he was greedy and put in charge of the money for the akatsuki. Both died in ironic ways portraying they beliefs. The very things they believed in set them to they deaths
