Escapism Games: A thread

Decided to compile another video game list, this time of games that are great to help distract from *gestures vaguely* all this.

The focus is mainly lighter themes and lesser known and/or indie games that you can lose yourself in.
Adventures of Bertram Fiddle

A very nonsensical Victorian murder-mystery point & click adventure. There is a sequel out that I have not played yet but the first was a delight!
Hatoful Boyfriend

Every game thread so far has included this one so of course here it is again. If you haven't played it yet I'm sorry.
Emerald City Confidential

Wizard of Oz meets film noir. A point and click adventure by one of my favorite devs of the genre, @WadjetEyeGames
Stardew Valley

nuff said
1931: Scheherazade at the Library of Pergamum

A dating sim with some basic RPG elements - really clever writing and definitely easy to get lost in the story and different romance routes.
Hidden Object Games

Keepin' it vague but this genre is comfort food to me. Two devs/publishers I can recommend are Artifex Mundi and Alawar. If you have questions about a specific one, ping me! I've probably played it.
Nancy Drew series by @HerInteractive

Some of the more recent ones can have themes/stories that are a little heavier at times but overall the series is just a lot of fun to play.
Montaro RE

Super basic 2D platformer featuring doge.
AdVenture Capitalist/AdVenture Communist

Two different idle clicker games with opposing themes. Both free to play.
Voodoo Garden

Ultra-chill clicker game with very relaxing ambiance.
12 Labors of Hercules

Mythology-themed casual strategy game. There are quite a few now in the series.
To Be or Not To be

Re-write. No, pre-write Shakespeare's Hamlet.
It's Spring Again

This one is very kid-friendly. Beautiful art and just very relaxing and simple.
Goat Simulator

It's...a goat simulator.
Broken Sword Series 1, 2, and 5

(just skip 3&4)

One of my favorite point & click adventure series of all time with a gorgeous score by Barrington Pheloung (may he rest in peace).
Cook, Serve, Delicious!

(Any version will do)

An excellent time-sink of a cooking simulator.
Detective Grimoire

A fun, short, and clever little adventure game about cryptozoology.
The Book of Unwritten Tales series

Another beautiful point & click adventure series with the usual puns and silliness that you expect from the genre.
The Witness

A lovely and relaxing puzzle game set in a beautiful environment
Banished

If you're looking for a relatively mindless management sim, this is it. On some of my worst days I've sunk hours and hours into this. Also fun to mod.
My Time at Portia

If you like games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Harvest moon, this is for you. You take over your absent father's building workshop at the town of Portia.
Two Point Hospital

Escape reality with these ridiculous diseases and injuries instead. This game is a blast to play, if you liked Theme Hospital you will love this one. The career mode will keep you busy for days.
Haunt the House: Terrortown

A pack of Haunt the House games - super cute and fun and you can play it over and over.
Hidden Folks

A really cute and minimalist I-spy game.
Reigns: Her Majesty

Make choices and try to keep the royal line alive and thriving for as long as possible.
Picross Fairytale

Okay I've been playing these constantly as my escape. They're just a series of a TON of nonograms, if those are your thing.
Nonogram - The Greatest Painter

Another picross game but much prettier with lovely music that's very reminiscent of Edward Shearmur.
Adding Farming Simulator 19 to this thread because it's chill af, especially if you minimize the difficulty.
Morels: The Hunt

Gather mushrooms and photograph animals for points! An extremely relaxing exploration game that's ideal for completionists and achievement fiends.
Parkasaurus

Help dinosaurs, who crash landed onto earth, establish dinosaur parks.
