"Araragi-kun, last night I was watching a television program called 'Rick and Morty'. Have you ever heard of it?"
"No," I replied. It sounded a little like one of those buddy cop shows that were all the rage once. Was that how Senjougahara spent her free time?
"I see. It's a show about an eccentric scientist, named Rick, and his grandson, named Morty, and the adventures they go on. Let me tell you about my favorite scene. Morty hears Rick's voice directing him to the garage and he enters. He notices a pickle on the table.
He hears his grandfather's voice direct him to the pickle and instruct him to turn it over. Do you know what happens next, Araragi-kun?"
Truthfully, I had no idea what happened next, but the very idea of Senjougahara watching a television show about a talking pickle seemed out of line with her personality.
Then again, her taste in media always seemed to vary, from the esoteric to the hopelessly mundane.
Her interests always were a bit of a grab-bag.
"He flips the pickle over, and... it's Rick. It's the scientist. It's his grandfather. He's turned himself into a pickle. He's Pickle Rick, Araragi."
Pickle Rick?
Pickle Rick.
"It was the funniest thing I had ever seen," Senjougahara said, leaning uncomfortably close to me. "Wouldn't you agree?"
It struck me as bizarre, but not in line with what I would consider comedic. "Not really."
"A shame. What would you do if one day you ran into me and I was a pickle, Araragi-kun?"
"Why would you be a pickle?!"
"Answer the question please, Araragi-kun."
But I couldn't. I couldn't muster the words.
Once again I had been bested by Senjougahara, and for the first time in my life I had been bested by a talking pickle.
Pickle Senjougahara...
I couldn't hope to make sense of such a scenario.
Oh... jeez. My follower count almost doubled overnight. Um, hello. I don't usually post stuff like this. Usually I just retweet stuff I find pretty or funny. I do like writing and imitating other peoples' styles and high effort shitposts though so maybe I'll do more sometime.
