Blue Dream is a personal favorite of mine. I've never grown it before, but I can't think of a better time to start.

Well this grow is off to a good start! Someone threw the dish in the dishwasher and the seed down the sink. Take two.
This is my last Blue Dream seed from a pack of three. The other one was a dud. Starting to think this particular envelope is cursed.

Day 2: While we were off to a good start, she's being awfully slow coming out of the dirt. Pictures yesterday and today.
Day 3: Now we're talking. With a little help, the sprout has broken free of the husk. Cotyledons don't look happy but as long as it opens I should be fine.
Day 9: Hazel started off a bit sluggish, but she's going on strong. Minimal stretch and a substantial stem. This one definitely won't need propping up. I've also decided to name her Hazel after my favorite Animal Crossing neighbour.
Day 12: I necked Hazel up today. When I sprout my seeds, I only ever fill the cell container up halfway. This lets me compensate for the unavoidable stretch that comes in the first weeks. It won't be very long until it's time to upsize her pot, though. Look at her roots.
Day 17: New shoes and a first meal for Hazel! I also reassembled the tent today; it's been sitting disassembled since its last major cleaning. I bought my first air pot before the big shutdown, but she's still too small.
Day 27: Did some interventive pruning on Hazel today. She's bunching up much like the CBDurban did, only with her, the big fans were seriously crowding the new growth. Here you can see before, after, and then when I decided to remove the other big fans.
She looks a little stressed, but give her a day to stretch out. As a bonus, I caught a hitchhiker. This is why I don't normally buy my Promix from Canadian Tire.
Day 29: She's a bit short to be doing much training, but I've pinned the two largest branches to give the crowded growth as much space as possible. Binder clips and cotton string get the job done, here. Not a very dramatic before and after, but all I can do 'til she stretches.
Day 33: Hazel is finally tall enough to train a second set of branches. I also gave her another haircut. Light absorption isn't really a concern at this point so much as node spacing. Plus, I usually do a good 4 hour defoliation before I flip and I'd like to space that out a bit.
Day 39: Transplant day. I'm going to give it a day or two to settle before I pin it back down, but I'm looking forward to having more of a diameter to spread her out.
New to the airpot, but I'm getting a lot of leakage out of the sides. Does that improve as the soil settles?

PS: Anyone know what's up with this leaf? A couple have come in like this and I have no idea why. The health of the plant doesn't seem affected but I'd like to know what's going on. Seeds are a bit old if that makes a difference.
Day 42: Training day. I'm leaving the central cola to spread its leaves before I start training it down. It's been light deprived for a while so it deserves an unfair advantage for a bit.
The airpot holes make training with twine a snap. No binder clips needed!

The only criticism I have of the airpot so far is the fact that the bottom screen has about an inch gap between it and the bottom of the drip tray. Water is remaining there and it's going to be a while before her roots start poking through. I shoulda got a deeper drip tray.
Day 51: Time for netting and a major defoliation. The goal here was to remove branches that would either not flourish as the plant matures, or would crowd out another branch. She looks really scruffy, but now she has room to grow some colas. Almost ready to flip!
Bonus: Clones! Using rockwool this time around, because it's on hand. Eager to see whether they take root!
Day 55: Gave her a last shot of nutes and flipped her today. There is still a bit of crowding I need to fix, but I think I'll let it settle into flower for a week or two while I figure out which branches to cut.
While I love the variegation, it's making it very difficult to gauge if there are any nutritional issues. The yellow bits closest to the lights are also having some minor burn issues. I can see why nobody's selectively bred for it as a designer trait.
Day 59/5: Major defoliation today. Mostly fan leaves, but took out 5 crowded nodes. Now the main colas have room to grow. She's starting to stretch, too!
Day 68/14: Starting to get some nuglets going. And boy howdy did she stretch! For those of you who thought I might have been going crazy with the pruning before flip, look how lush things have gotten. I'll likely do a final defoliation next week.
I have also taken my light off its pulley system to give the canopy a touch more clearance. I don't want light burn, especially with Hazel being variegated and all.
Day 76/22: Time for Hazel's final trim. I went very aggressive this round, trimming all the shmeef from below, and following up with a fan leaf trim from above. This revealed a bald patch in the lower-left so I followed up with some retraining.
This will reduce my overall yield, but increase the quality of what I harvest. I'm up to my ears in trim, so I'm trying to maximize my quads on this harvest. A nice bonus is plenty of fresh greens for salads and juices!
Day 79/25: Here's what she looks like after a couple of days recovery time. We're getting some nice big buds forming! If the fates are kind, it should be a straight shoot from here.
