Fascinating storyline for #Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor. How much of it is true? Not sure, didn't follow Bills/Browns closely. Sorry if wrong!
This thread is everything I've gathered so far, and a look at how this may be the first time Taylor has had everyone behind him.

He went to the Bills in free agency, winning the quarterback competition and entering the season as the starter, with defensive-minded Rex Ryan as his head coach
The following season went to complete chaos. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman was fired two games into the season, with Rex Ryan eventually fired before the season was over. Each was replaced by Anthony Lynn at the time.
Before the 2016 season is over, the Bills, I kid you not, sit Tyrod Taylor so they do not have to pay him guaranteed money if he gets hurt. The GM (see second photo) wanted to see EJ Manuel.
Here's Tyrod Taylor's thoughts on the whole situation:
Following a 5-4 start, and a loss to the New Orleans Saints where the only interception he threw was a ball his receiver let bounce off his chest, Taylor was benched for Nathan Peterman.
That worked out SUPER!
Believe it or not, McDermott said after the game he was not ready to make a decision on whether Peterman should start the next week. He'd have to watch the tape again...

Taylor finally got back into the starting lineup, working with two starting receivers who, since 2017, have a combined 49 catches. With some help from the Bengals, the Bills made the playoffs and ended their postseason drought. They lost to the Jaguars in the Wild Card round.
The Bills then traded Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns...which is always a great place to go as a quarterback.
Tyrod Taylor was sacked 13 times in about 2.5 games, stuck in an offense with a head coach who didn't know what to do with him and no talent around him. Surprise, they fired Hue Jackson later on. Injured in the third game, Taylor lost the job to No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield.
Look, I'm not saying Tyrod Taylor is a perfect quarterback and everything is someone else's fault. But he's not been given a legitimate chance maybe ever. At most, 2015 he had support.
I'm excited to see what he can do with elite weapons and an upgraded offensive line...

...but more importantly, with a head coach who knows how to play to his strengths and has worked with him before.
You could argue drafting a QB @ 6 isn't showing full faith in Taylor, but at the end of the day it's the smart football decision. But...

...they're also prepared to let Taylor play as long as he wins and limits turnovers. If that's a whole season, so be it. He has their full support until HE screws it up, if ever.
