But when a franchise is 74 years old, there's bound to be a few overlooked greats who deserve that sweet sweet jersey retirement.

Also, the 76ers should have a gilded banner honoring the ancestral Syracuse Nationals.

The Nats never missed the playoffs (1947-1963), created the shot clock in 1954, won the franchise's first title in 1955, and gifted Philadelphia a foundation for NBA success in 1963.

Turns out there's not much to say about retired jerseys for either club, but I do have words on the original Denver Nuggets and the New Orleans Buccaneers!
