Here’s an interesting 1961 @BBCArchive video in which some very level-headed South London school girls are not impressed with their new school & give the architect a deferentially tough time.

Illustrates 2 themes ....
.... (1) Co-design with people who’ll use or live with your building & (2) if your design approach is always “start from scratch” not “innovate within a tradition” you’ll make lots of mistakes as you unwittingly throw away lots of embedded wisdom you haven’t spotted or understood
Also we used to be able to disagree with each other with courtesy. Be like those school girls. ( Does anyone know what happened to the school?)
