This is not how Twitter works. If one of your tweet blow up, you will not have thousands of followers. Check the tweets with X00K+ RTs and you will see.

Also, having a lot of followers is not a proof of quality. The best article I read, I learn from are made by brillant people with a low followers count. As a "big" account on this network, I'm doing my best to promote them, their content and encourage them.

Multiple times, I met people who were looking for "the Internet fame". As a person who made the news multiple times these last years, was on TV, on conferences, I can tell you: yes, sometimes this is very cool, you are doing insane stuff you never think of before BUT man...

You also receive hundreds of messages, notifications, mentions, emails per day. People try to dox you, you receive death threats, people mocks you for whatever reason, sometimes they recognize you in the street.

Think about that. We are not on TV and everything got drawbacks

I don't complaint. I made my choices on purpose and I knew the drawbacks. I'm accepting it and I'm ready to do more. I'm deadly convinced that we, infosec professionals, need to be more vocal. Our challenges are critical in our current world and we need to explain what we do

We need a voice in the political game. A voice who can defend what is technically true, what we really need when it comes to security and disinformation

Worth saying, I had some incredible experiences on and because of this twitter account:
- I received wedding proposals
- I went on major newspapers and national TV in France, US, India
- Graduates choose to work on security due to this account

- My tweets has been used in big companies to raise awareness
- I met an insane number of very good people who all have a story to tell
- I gave talks in front of hundreds of people
- I learn so much things
- ...

So yes, this site is hell but damn I love it
